Team Lead Maintenance

Position overview

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Team Lead Maintenance to lead our maintenance team at our production facility. In this hands-on leadership role you will be busy with complex electrical maintenance and troubleshooting 50-60% of your time. The rest of your time will be filled with strategic topics like designing maintenance programs, designing sustainable solutions for our production plant. The position focuses on ensuring optimal performance of our assembly lines for drip irrigation systems and PE pipe extrusion equipment while implementing preventive maintenance strategies and managing technical improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a small team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Handle hands-on electrical maintenance work advise Plant Manager about sustainable technical solutions and innovation
  • Design and implement preventive maintenance programs for production equipment, focusing on both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Manage maintenance budgets and optimize maintenance costs while ensuring equipment reliability
  • Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize maintenance scheduling
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including maintenance procedures and equipment specifications
  • Drive innovation in maintenance processes
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Manage spare parts inventory and relationships with technical suppliers
  • Analyse equipment performance data and implement improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Contribute to the corporate organization by delivery of Netafim’s wide strategic objectives, taking part in service improvement and transformation projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical education
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance management or team leader role
  • Strong allround electrotechnics background with hands-on experience in:
    • Power distribution systems
    • Industrial networking and automation
  • Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on electrical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs
  • Knowledge of production processes, preferably in extruders or similar manufacturing environments
  • Ability to motivate and coach team members
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (both verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with PLC programming
  • Knowledge of quality management systems
